Dupe: Chanel Mat Lumiere Powder vs. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Hey all,

I have been searching for the right powder for a really long time especially that I have a combination skin type where my T-zone is oily but, the rest of my face is quite dry.
My Impressions:

First, I tried Chanel Mat Lumiere and as always, I didn't like it but then trial after the other, I started enjoying wearing it and it started to work on me better. It claims to stay on the face and maintain the matte feeling for twelve hours and I found this to be quite true.  Second, I went and purchased Rimmel Stay Matte after hearing my sister's positive review. I, personally, didn't enjoy Stay Matte as much as Chanel Mat Lumiere. It wasn't the same quality. I was very dissatisfied because I was very hopeful of liking it. I tried in many different ways to see if it can lasts longer although it claims to last up to five hours.

Longevity:
Chanel Mat Lumiere stays on me in humid hot weathers for four to five hours and in cool dried weather whether it was hot or cold, it lasted six to eight hours. With Rimmel Stay Matte, my face becomes oily after two hours in cool weather and one hour in humid weather.

Packaging:
There is no doubt that Chanel's packaging is amazing and super chic because we are mainly paying for the packaging. It has big mirror with a sponge which is not very important and it has the luxury of recharging some shades from the powder. Rimmel Stay Matte packaging is cute and light weight. I like it as a drugstore product and it fits that criteria. I found that the packaging is strong enough not to break or damage the powder easily.

Price:
Chanel Mat Lumiere full price is 49.50 Euros in the Sephora counters and the rechargeable powders are 36.50 Euros. Rimmel Stay Matte is priced 9.00 Euros in France.

Now, the choice is yours and both can be good depending on your preferences from quality to price but my preference goes to Chanel Mat Lumiere as I enjoy using it a lot. I will definitely use both equally but I will recharge my Chanel Mat Lumiere when I am done with it!

Inform me of another powders that you think are good and worth trying especially the mattifying type.

Love xoxo,

Maha
