Review: NARS Cosmetics

FACE:

1. Miss Liberty Blush/ Highlighter: It's a very beautiful product with pigmented shimmer powder that gives a very natural glow. I couldn't swatch it for you here because I gave it to my sister as a present but, I recommend it although you can find good dupes for it if you don't want to splurge on it as NARS products are considered high end makeup.

2. Laguna Bronzer: This is an amazing bronzer, it is highly pigmented and you need little product on your brush to blend for contour. It blends easily and softly and it's neither muddy nor orange on the skin. I recommend it highly and it's definitely better that the Mac bronzer. It fades away through the day obviously but it leaves good pigmentation or stain on your skin.

3. Orgasm Blush: This is again an amazing blush. Everyone rave about and so do I. It's shimmery but very natural. It gives a natural glow to your cheeks and it fits for the day and night. This is my go to and everyday blush. When the sun hits your face, you can see the reflect of shimmer and the coral color, very beautiful. So, again, I highly highly recommend it if you are still hesitating or searching for good blush!

Now, the swatches for the Orgasm Blush and Laguna Bronzer:

EYES:

1. Smudge Proof Eyeshadow base: This is again a great product. I didn't experience smudging or creasing of eyeshadow at all. Compared to the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion, NARS's worked for me much better than it. I used to usually apply on top of the Urban Decay primer, the Maybelline color tattoos for extra hold but with the NARS eyeshadow base, I didn't have to use the color tattoos. Very good holding power. Recommend this for sure!

2. Eyeliner Stylo: This was my first time using a liquid liner so, I am not an expert on other liquid liners in the market whether they were high end or drug store but, this stylo worked really good on me and stayed all day long. I am very happy about it. I recommend it.

LIPS:

1. Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Roman Holiday: Now, here we come to my big disappointments in lip products. I am a huge of fan of any lip product that comes out. My favorite makeup product is lipstick but NARS's aren't that good, actually, they are really bad. This lip pencil has a great color but not pigmented and it doesn't stay for long. I don't recommend it.

2. Lipstick in Roman Holiday: I think this is my worst lipstick I have ever purchased especially for the amount I paid. It doesn't stay for long, sheer coverage and it doesn't glide on properly. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

3. Lipgloss in Turkish Delight: I honestly bought it, just because of it's name. It's a nice color but didn't work on my skin by it's own but, when I add a lipstick underneath, it looks better. What I did is that i added it over the lipstick shown above and it quite looked nice but didn't last long. Another issue is the taste and smell of the lipgloss are really not appealing. If you liked the color or the name as I did then buy it if you have the guts to spend that much money on it like I did which I kind of regret.

 PACKAGING:

When spending a lot of money on a product, we expect beautiful packaging so we can feel good and not guilty. I would love if they change the texture of the packaging because it will look dirty after several usages and the whole lipgloss and lip liner packaging is cheap looking. It should be changed because the eye and face products are really good and have fair amount in the pot but needs nice packaging.
