Review: Benefit Cosmetics

Hey all,

Today I will be making a mini review on some of the Benefit products I have. I have seven products in total but six of them came in a kit called 'Primping with the Stars' and my other individual product is 'Moon Beam'.

The seven products are:
- Moon Beam
- Stay don't stray
- Some kinda a gorgeous
- Benetint
- The Porfessional
- Girl meets pearl
- They're real mascara

Moon Beam: it is an iridescent complexion enhancer which is supposed to be applied under the makeup or worn alone for an over all glow.It is a golden apricot perfector with hints of pink which gives a really nice natural highlight and glow to the skin. I usually apply it over my makeup as a highlight on my upper cheeks and it works really well. It gives my skin a beautiful shine that is really natural and not over done. The product lasts for six months after you open it but I don't think it has an expiration only if it dries. It's 24.00 Euros.

Stay Don't Stray: it is a stay put primer for concealers and eye shadows. What you have to do is to blend 3 tiny dots under eye and on eyelids and after it sets, you apply your concealer or eye shadow. I tried it both ways, as a concealer base and eye shadow base/ primer, I honestly loved it as a concealer base because it held my concealer for long and it didn't crease. As for an eye shadow base, I was very disappointed because my eye shadow creased and eye liner smudged.. I don't recommend it for the eyes at all. It's 25.00 Euros.

Some kinda a gorgeous: it is a foundation faker. I didn't know what it meant but you have to apply all over the face. It is a sheer, cream to powder formula that gives you a silky even complexion. It does give an even complexion and feels light on the skin but if I ran out of it I won't go and repurchase it because I think there are better ones out there in the market that feels good and the results are even better. It's 31.00 Euros.

Benetint: it is a rose tinted lip and cheek stain and it claims to give  'the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle!' What you have to do is to brush 3 strokes on each cheek and blend quickly. For the lips, you have to dab on bare lips for a 'provocative' pout. Now, I highly suggest that you don't buy it because it's useless, I know this is my personal opinion and there are people who rave about it but for me it's not worth it. It doesn't stain my lips nor anything else. The only thing I like about it is that it smells good like rose water or Turkish delight. I don't recommend it. It's 32.00 Euros which I think it's over priced.

The POREfessional: Its claim to fame is that it is your secret weapon against pores. It's a pro balm to minimize the appearance of pores. You apply to moisturized skin to help makeup stay put and quickly minimize the appearance . You lightly pat over makeup for touch ups if you want. That's what I usually do, it has a very nice smooth texture which leaves your face a smooth canvas to work on and apply makeup. I like this product and I think it's really good but I have a dupe for it and it's less expensive and works slightly better than it and it is the 'Sephora Smoothing Primer' which is only 10.90 Euros whereas the Porefessional one is 32.00 Euros full size.

Girl Meets Pearl: it is a liquid pearl luminizer that makes everything 'lustrous' as said in the kit tips and tricks. You blend over bare skin for a soft all-over glow. You dab on cheekbones over makeup for a luminous effect. It's darker than Moon Beam and there is pink and gold tones and shimmer. It gives a natural glow and reflects light beautifully. I really like this product and definitely recommend it. The price is 31.00 Euros.

They're Real Mascara: You wiggle the wand from base to tip to achieve volume, length and lift. If you want, you can hold the wand vertically and stroke upward for maximum curl and separation. It does lift, curl and lengthen the lashes but doesn't add volume. I like it more when applying natural makeup where I don't want extra volume and stays for a fair period of time. I like it but I still don't know if I would repurchase it. It's 24.00 Euros.

For Packaging, I think their packaging is cute and adorable, it's not my type or taste because I like more classy packaging such as Chanel or YSL. After all, this review is just my personal thought about these products. I followed the tips they gave in the kit and that's what's written above. I might try more products from benefit in the future and if I do, I will make a review.

I hope you liked my review and please let me know about your own opinion too.

Love xoxo,

Maha
