Hey all,
I am very late on this but still wanted to share my 2013 makeup favorites. I acculmlated a big amount of makeup in the year 2013 but I was continously using the following products and loved each one of them a lot and remained in my makeup routine all year round.
I will review some of the products that are new to my blog and will link some previous reviews for some make up items I already have on my blog aaaaand enjoy ;)
- NARS 'Orgasm' Blush: review linked here or here. (both with swatches)
"This is again an amazing blush. Everyone rave about and so do I. It's shimmery but very natural. It gives a natural glow to your cheeks and it fits for the day and night. This is my go to and everyday blush. When the sun hits your face, you can see the reflect of shimmer and the coral color, very beautiful. So, again, I highly highly recommend it if you are still hesitating or searching for good blush!"
Eye Products:
- NARS 'Pro prime Smudge Proof' Eye Primer: review linked here. (with more pictures)
"This is again a great product. I didn't experience smudging or creasing of eyeshadow at all. Compared to the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion, NARS's worked for me much better than it. I used to usually apply on top of the Urban Decay primer, the Maybelline color tattoos for extra hold but with the NARS eyeshadow base, I didn't have to use the color tattoos. Very good holding power. Recommend this for sure!"
- Uraban Decay 'Naked Basics' Eyeshadow Palette: review linked here.
"The minute I opened the palette, I fell in love with colors. I don't deny that I already have similar shades of eyeshadows from the Sephora Collection. I love the pigmentation and the longevity. The colors are very natural and I have been only wearing them a lone and sometimes adding the NARS eyeliner stylo and make a cat eye and I love it. Very simple and easy makeup to do when you're in a rush. It's very light weighed and great palette for travelling. I highly recommend it."
- Benefit 'Creaseless Cream in Bikini Tini' Eyeshadow: it is considered one of the best cream shadows that stay put and doesn't crease on the eyes for all day long if applied with a primer. It's very creamy and smooth and the color I have is beautiful (beige with slight shimmer) and you can do so many looks with it. When you apply it, it's very light and smooth so I enjoy putting it on and the shade is very wearable and should be a staple in every girl's makeup collection. In France it retails for 19.00 Euros and in US, it retails for 20.00$. Unfortunately, it's more expensive in France.
- Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara: my all time favorite and it doesn't dry out for a really long time. I have been using this sample for about eight months now and it's still going strong! Performance is lovely, long-wear and gives length to the lashes. It doesn't give my lashes volume so I usually top it with another mascara for extra volume. Review linked here.
- Dior 'Diorshow' Mascara: is the combination that goes with my benefit mascara to accomplish voluminous lengthy lashes. I love the spooly it has because it's small and I can use it for my lower lashes as well. It doesn't smudge or water my eyes and it's similar to the benefit; it doesn't dry out fast. I've had this for a year now and it's doing a good job. It's worth the 29.90 Euros!! Maybe keeping it for that long is not hygienic and healthy for your eyes but for some reason which I don't quite know, I still love using it!
- Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Taupe no.4: review linked here.
"I use this for my eyebrows and I love it. It's neither dark nor light, the color is milk chocolate and blends really well with my eyebrows. It lasts a good amount of time and it's blend-able if you want to apply it on as an eye shadow."

Face Products:
- Make Up For Ever 'Mat Velvet +' Foundation no. 30, is such a good foundation. I love the feel of it on my skin, it has good lasting power and medium to high coverage. I usually apply it with my Garnier BB cream and it has been my day and night foundation routine. I have a foundation routine post that has reviews on both the foundation and the BB cream linked here. I totally recommend the foundation, it's really good and not heavy on the skin. In Sephora France, it retails for 35.50 Euros which I guess is a reasonable price for a good product like this one because it keeps my skin matte for about five hours when I am applying it with the BB cream but without the BB cream, the matte finish will last even longer. I haven't tried any drugstore options and dupes but if I do I will make a comparison and see which one performs better.

Lip Products:
- Dior 'Lip Glow': Long review linked here with pictures.
- YSL 'Pur Couture Pur' in Rose Fusain no. 31: Mini review linked here with lip swatch picture showing the color.
- YSL 'Rouge Volupte' no. 30: review on another linked here, but when it comes to this shade, it's a beautiful peach coral color and it's great for spring and summer. I have been enjoying not only this shade but the shades no. 1,2,3,17 and this one 30.
- Mac 'Viva Glam I': it's dark red, vampy looking and just BEAUTIFUL. Maybe it's my favorite red shade and my favorite Mac lipstick! I love it and the color just suits everyone nicely, makes my teeth look whiter and it lasts forever on your lips if you don't drink or eat oily food but I went to dinners with this shade and I only applied once to intensify the color and not to retouch up! It stayed on very well and didn't smudge all over my lips. Longevity comes from it's matte formula. All Mac lipsticks retail for 18.00 Euros in France (Paris).
- Revlon Lip Butters in Sweet Tart and Berry Smoothie: Sweet Tart for Spring and Summer and Berry Smoothie for Fall and Winter. My favorite lip butter shades and they are so pigmented, nourishing and smooth. Everybody made reviews on them and love them just like how I do, they are my go to lip products. I have them in my makeup bag in my purse and apply them all the time! They stay for about two hours if you don't drink or eat and that's because of their smooth buttery formula that don't stain or hold on your lips for a long time. They are very expensive in France retailing for about 15.00 Euros whereas in Jordan, they retail for 9.00 JD which is approximately 9.00 Euros.
Perfumes:
- Elie Saab perfume: I love it and bring so many memories to me when I was in Iraq and Jordan because of it's oriental smell. Reminds me of our gardens in those two loving countries! The perfumes Shop website describes it as:
"Radiant, voluptuous, addictive
The top note opens on a sun-kissed, radiant orange blossom, as an ode to light.
The middle note develops into a jasmine absolute, a legendary flower in perfumery, imparting voluptuousness and elegance to the fragrance. It combines with a pure, modern patchouli heart.
The base note unfolds into a cedar woody accord adding character and a lingering trail, while the honey rose envelops the composition in a beautifully addictive note..."

- Roberto Cavalli perfume: it goes the same for this perfume. Very nostalgic to me! The perfumes Shop website describes it as:
"Instantly attracting attention, all eyes are on her.
Her colourful temperament captivates with a wink of pink pepper, her seductive smile reveals a glimpse of opulent orange flower, and her sensual curves which are just as velvety as tonka, leave an unforgettable trail."

I hope you enjoyed my 2013 Beauty Favorites and benefited from my review!
