Review: Revlon Colorburst Lipstick Balms (Balm Stains, Matte Balm, Lacquer Balms)

Hey all,

Everyone raved about these lipsticks and I am one of these people who did. I included them in my monthly favorites and I almost use them all the time. One loyal lover of these lipsticks is my sister Mariam, she pretty much has all the shades but today I will show you my own small collection. When it comes to new lipsticks, I gravitate towards pinks and nudes more than oranges and reds because I am very picky about these shades so, my safe options are pink and nudes.

The first balms that came out were called 'Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains' and they were a hit in the makeup world especially drugstore. Then recently, Revlon came up with two types of Colorburst lip balms; the Lacquer Balms and the Matte Balms.

1. Colors, Pigmentation, Longevity and Texture:

-Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains:
They are very pigmented, they are obviously stains so they last really long time even when it's worn off, the lips will still have color of the balm. They will last up to 1h30 if you didn't eat or drink. With food and drinks, it would last about 40 mins. They are smooth, have minty smell and if applied too much, it will dry your lips. They are balms but sometimes drying.

My shades are:
Top: Honey no. 001 (My favorite)
Bottom: Cherish no. 015

-Colorburst Lacquer Balms:
They are pigmented and glossy like balms, they don't last for a long time and don't leave pigmented lips after they go away although I prefer them more than the matte balms which I will talk about later. They will last up to 40 mins to one hour if you didn't eat or drink. With food and drinks, it would last up to 30 mins. They are smooth, glossy and shiny with small spec of silver glitter and have minty smell.

My shades are:
Top: Coquette no. 110
Bottom: Vivacious no. 120

-Colorburst Matte Blams:
They are very pigmented and velvety more than being matte and dry therefore they are not my favorite formula because of the velvety texture, they do last for a long time and d leave pigmented lips after they worn out. They will last up to 1h30 mins if you didn't eat or drink. With food and drinks, it would last up to 40 mins.

My shades are:
Top: Elusive no. 205 (I love the shade)
Bottom: Hand Swatches

2. Prices:

France: From 7 to 9 Euros depending on where you buy them

USA: From 6 to 7 Dollars estimated (5.60 Euros)

3. My Grade: (% and A to F)

Packaging: 90% - A

Performance/ Pigmentation: 90% - A
Longevity: 90% - A
Price: 85% - B
TOTAL:  88.75 % - B (More towards A)

Love xoxo,

Maha
